Meet the First Dolphin on Hemp!

Dingaling (Dinghy) is a 48-year-old Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphin that lives at Dolphin Life in Key Largo, Florida. She is the mother of six children, and her no-nonsense and caring attitude helps teach them right from wrong at a young age.

She loves learning new behaviors and keeping the pod in line as the matriarch. As it is common in the wild and under human care, Dinghy suffered a traumatic eye injury in April 2016, resulting in her becoming blind in her left eye with swelling and pain in her right eye. As other efforts were exhausted to make her more comfortable, it became clear that a new approach was needed.

Dinghy became the first dolphin to be put on hemp extract in an effort to promote a normal inflammatory response in her eye, along with easing her pain. After about three months, Dinghy showed significant improvement in not only her eye, but also other aspects such as socialization and adequate diet intake. For a dolphin considered “geriatric”, this was remarkable.

While she, unfortunately, suffered another traumatic injury to her right eye in July 2020, consistent BlackFin HEMP™ administration supported Dinghy while she exceeded expectations. Her suspected perforated right cornea has not slowed her down, as she responds to stimuli from trainers and holds her eye open on a regular basis.

Today, Dinghy is still able to keep the trainers on their toes and show off her one-of-a-kind attitude to all who meet her.

How Does BlackFin HEMP™ Support Not Just Marine Species, but Zoo, Equine, and Your Dogs at Home?

BlackFin HEMP™ is a LIQUID STRUCTURE® HEMP that provides neurological, joint, digestive, and calming support. This LIQUID STRUCTURE® HEMP provides a small vessel that encapsulates the HEMP molecules and carries them past the harsh acidic environment of the stomach.

The HEMP molecules are protected, and impervious to acidic destruction. BlackFin HEMP™ for medium to large breed dogs is available in 30-count packs, and BlackFin HEMP™ for larger species (zoo, marine, and equine) is available in 100-count bottles.

BlackFin HEMP™ is clinically researched and trusted by Dr. Johanna Mejia-Fava, PhD in marine mammal ophthalmology, and Doctor in Veterinary Medicine (DVM). This hemp product features a patented, proprietary bio-enhanced liquid delivery system designed to support cellular, immune, joint, digestive, and neurological health through the endocannabinoid system.

BlackFin HEMP™ also provides calming support during everyday stressors such as grooming, boarding, veterinary visits, car rides, travel, noise-related stress, and more.

How Does BlackFin HEMP™ Work?

All animals have an endocannabinoid system. Anandamide, known as the “bliss/happy” molecule, promotes the neurotransmitters serotonin and GABA, to provide a calming effect along with digestive and neurological support. Anandamide also helps support a normal inflammatory response and helps regulate the immune response through CB2 receptor interactions.

A primary mechanism of CBD is inhibiting the elimination of Anandamide where it works best. Normally, Anandamide is chaperoned away by a fatty acid binding protein (FABP) and broken down by an enzyme called fatty acid amide hydrolase (FAAH). CBD interrupts this process by binding to FABPs for a long period of time, thus slowing the breakdown of Anandamide by FAAH.

Bottom line: More anandamide means more happiness and homeostasis. Visit BlackFinHEMP.com to learn more!
